How can you declutter your workspace?

The Challenge

Take a moment to look over your workspace. Do you use every item on a regular basis? How much open space is available? Choose one thing to remove from your desk or area. If you can't stand the thought of throwing it away, just put it out of sight for a week and see if you miss it.

Why do this?

Clutter has the same effect whether it appears on your to-do list or in your physical space: it's stressful. If you're not careful, things start piling up all around you--in your work, your personal life, on your desk and in your closet. (By the way, if you noticed that this challenge is similar to another one you've done, you're right. It is! We developed a whole series on decluttering, and this challenge is part of that series.)

Spending time every now and then to make one part of your life a little simpler can do wonders for your overall peace of mind.
