What are your implicit associations?

The Challenge

Google the Harvard Implicit Association Test and set aside 10 minutes today to take one of them online.

Why do this?

This test measures different types of implicit biases/associations. Everyone makes automatic associations--our brain evolved to make lightning-fast connections using heuristics, which are generally helpful for fast decision-making. But sometimes these associations can be harmful, especially if you don't notice you're making them.

Developing an awareness of your own implicit biases and associations helps you to notice which ones are not helpful and combat them going forward.

What’s next?

There are plenty of different tests available at Harvard's website. Take them all!
