How well do you leverage your strengths to contribute to your team?

The Challenge

Brainstorm three ways you could intentionally use your strengths to make a positive contribution to your next team meeting. This might include volunteering to plan an event, partnering with a team member to problem-solve a current dilemma, or doing some pre-meeting research on a particular topic.

Why do this?

Teams function best when every member contributes their strengths. Brainstorming possible contributions in advance prepares you to recognize opportunities to contribute as they present themselves.

A strong team is made up of diverse members who each play a role based on their strengths. Intentionally contributing according your strengths will help your team accomplish its goals. When everyone offers their strengths to the team process, extraordinary results can be achieved.

What’s next?

Think about the strengths of each of your team members and how each person could leverage their strengths to achieve the best results. Helping other team members tap into their strengths is the next step toward improving team outcomes.
