How does your team share successes?
The Challenge
As your next staff meeting, take five minutes at the start to sharing recent successes and giving "shout-outs" for work well done. If your team is small enough, go around the room and let each person share one personal success and give one compliment to another team member.
Why do this?
Starting meetings on a positive note improves morale and can even improve productivity.
It's easy to get caught up in day-to-day problems. Taking the time to bring up and celebrate successes is an important aspect of leading happy teams.
What’s next?
Make this an ongoing practice. As your team does this more and more, they'll start to pay more attention to successes throughout their workweek in anticipation of sharing them later.
