Why are your ideas sometimes rejected?

The Challenge

Think about the last time that you had a good idea that you felt was unfairly questioned when you shared it. Brainstorm three ways that you might present the same idea in a different way that might be better accepted by your audience.

Why do this?

Learn from a negative response, and turn it into a positive one. Sometimes you need to present your ideas in a certain way in order to "sell" it to a supervisor or stakeholder.

Being able to present your ideas so that they are well-received will make others accept your ideas more quickly and more often.

What’s next?

Using the notes you wrote during your brainstorm, create an action plan for re-presenting your original idea in a fresh, more appealing way.
