How do you use your influence to support a project?

The Challenge

Think about a recent project you successfully completed. Many players contributed to the success of this project, so focus on how you interacted with others to influence its outcome. List the actions you took to influence others in ways that increased the chances of success.

Why do this?

Much of your power to get things done comes through your relationships.

Successful influencers act strategically to persuade others, build consensus, and accomplish their goals through cooperation. Your ability to affect the behavior and actions of your colleagues relies on the connections you've built with them over time. When people experience you as trustworthy, consistent, assertive, flexible, and open, your influence grows.
