How has your organization's geographic reach expanded in the past year?

The Challenge

Make a list of the current geographic territories that your organization operates within. Has this number grown or shrunk in the past year? Are there plans to expand to new territories in the upcoming year?

Why do this?

It takes an average of 23.8 days to hire a new staff member, so the sooner you can identify the need for a new hire the better off you'll be. Tracking key business indicators like the number of customers, territories, and products your organization has will give you important insight. (By the way, if you noticed that this challenge is similar to another one you've done, you're right. It is! We developed a series dedicated to monitoring the size of your workforce, and this challenge is part of that series.)

Keeping an eye on your company's growth trends (and knowing what that means for your workforce needs) will allow you to plan comfortably ahead.

What’s next?

Come up with a method to track this key business indicator on an ongoing basis.
